2D Animator Portfolio: Publix

This was part of a package of PR spots for the supermarket chain. “Superhero” uses the Publix mascot, Plato the dinosaur, to urge children to read. This animated commercial speaks to kids’ universal desire to be superheroes. The “hidden passageway” animation is a favorite in children’s literature, making books seem “magical” instead of just dead trees on shelves. Traditionally animated in 2D, hand-inked, digitally colored in US Animation, and composited in AfterEffects.

Retro Cartoon Style: Community America

A slick, retro look seemed very appropriate for this slickster game show host. Part of a three-spot cartoon style package for Community America Credit Union, the goal was to highlight their various customer benefits in a very fun and irreverent way. Produced using Illustrator and AfterEffects.
